
Silvio Viola is a sculptor who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence under the tutelage of Oscar Gallo. From 1987 to 2019, he taught sculpture and other visual arts at art schools in Grosseto, Pietrasanta and Pistoia, combining his teaching work with a continuous artistic output. Since 1980, he has taken part in numerous group exhibitions and artistic events, receiving awards including the Albacini Prize from the Accademia di San Luca in Rome. His work includes the creation of public artworks and participation in exhibitions and symposia in Italy and abroad, consolidating a sculptural practice focused on materials and the figurative tradition.
