Avetis Sargsyan is an Armenian sculptor and visual artist with over twenty years of professional experience, having grown up within a long-standing family tradition dedicated to the visual arts. Having graduated with honours from the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts and also specialising in artistic photography, he has developed a body of work that combines academic rigour with contemporary sensibility. His works explore the relationship between form, light and cultural memory, through the use of materials such as bronze, stone and other natural elements. He has participated in numerous international projects and symposia, distinguishing himself through an artistic practice that successfully combines traditional craftsmanship with expressive depth.
